Nandi film awards presentation on Feb. 14

Tourism and Cinematography, Mr Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, has said that the 2007 Nandi awards will be presented to the winners in the Lalithakala Thoranam, here on February 14.

The Minister reviewed the arrangements for the awards function with the officials of various departments concerned and prominent people of the film industry in the secretariat here on Monday.

Mr Reddy said that apart from the presentation of the Nandi Awards, the National NTR Puraskar and Raghupathi Venkaiah awards will also be presented on the occasion. Besides, 19 prominent persons from various sectors will be felicitated with Pratibha Rajiv Puraskars for three years from 2006 to 2008, he added.

The Home Minister, Mr K Jana Reddy, will be the chief guest, while the ministers, Mr Konathala Ramakrishna, Mr Shabbir Ali, and Mr Mukhesh Goud will be present, he said.

The Commissioner of Information and Public Relations, Mr Parthasarathi, and film personalities Mr G Adiseshagiri Rao, Mr M Murali Mohan, Mr K S Rama Rao, Mr Muralimohan Rao, Mr C Kalyan and Mr Y Vijayender Reddy were present at the review meeting
