Actor Sharada quits TDP to join congress

Hyderabad, Feb.21:- Actress and former MP, Ms Sharada, on Saturday resigned from the Telugu Desam Party.

According to information, she is believed to have sent her resignation to the party chief, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, by fax. Rumours were rife that she would be joining the Congress.

Ms Sharada, who won the prestigious Urvasi Award several times during her illustrious career, has been feeling ignored in the party which once treated her with kid gloves. She has been keeping herself away from all political activities since a long time.

The Congress party which has been looking for stars to face the stars in other parties is reported to have been wooing her since quite some time. The resignation has paved the way for her to join the ruling party
