Balakrishna Election Compagn from Hindupur

HYDERABAD Jan 19th : Nandamuri Balakrishna, film star and son of former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao, on Sunday announced that he would launch his election campaign for the Telugu Desam Party from Hindupur in Anantapur district on January 29 (as NTR did in the late 80s). His tour of Rayalaseema would be followed by electioneering in the North Coastal districts.

In a brief chat with reporters after paying homage at NTR Ghat in connection with NTR’s 13th death anniversary, Balakrishna declared that he would work to ‘bring back the TDP’s past glory’. He urged cadres to strive for the party’s victory in 2009 elections.
