'Pokiri' Goes to 'Kannada'

Hyderabad Jan 27 :'Pokiri' the Biggest hit in the history of Telugu cinema written and directed by Puri Jagannath, featured Mahesh Babu and Ileana in the lead roles will be Remade in Kannada . Pokiri Earlier was remade in Tamil as Pokkiri with Vijay and Asin in the lead. Directed by Prabhu Deva, the film went on to become a huge box office success like the original version.In Hindi Remake Salman Khan is doing the role the film is on Sets.

Now, inspired by the huge success of the Telugu and Tamil versions, journalist Ganesh Kasargod and his friend Pai are all set to remake Pokiri in Kannada. Darshan in lead role; the heroine is yet to be chosen. M.D. Sridhar, who has made several remake films before, has been selected as the director. Hari Krishna is composing the music, K. Krishna Kumar is the cameraman and Ravi Varma will be the stunt director.

Speaking to the media, Ganesh said he is confident the film will successful in Kannada also. The remaining cast is getting finalized and the pre-launch work has already begun.
