A R Rahman to perform live at the Oscars

Hyderabad Jan 26:The Mozart of Madras will perform a live concert at Oscar Awards function in America. Close on the heels of winning the coveted Golden Globe award for his music score in Slumdog Millionaire, Rahman has managed clinch not one but three Oscar nominations for his score in the film. The Oscar Award function is to be held Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre. Sukwindher Singh will sing the song Jai Ho. A R Rahman has informed this to Sukwindher Singh and asked him to be ready. Sukwindher said that singing in the concert is not a new thing but singing at the Oscars is a big thing. Gulzar who wrote the lyrics will also attend the Oscars. It is also pertinent to note that the song Chaya Chaya sung by Sukwindher Singh and composed by A R Rahman was the title song of the Hollywood film Inside Man which had Denzel Washington in the lead.
