Chiranjeevi Asking for "OKKA CHANCE" to change the System

Yadagirigutta Dec.18 : The megastar-turned Praja Rajyam Party chief, Mr Chiranjeevi has urged the people to give him “just one chance” to rule them so that he could live up to their expectations.Addressing a large gathering after having the darshan of Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy here on Thursday, Mr Chiranjeevi said as the people wanted him to leave the lucrative film career in order to change the pernicious system, he plunged into politics to fulfill their desire. “Keep the same confidence you had when you asked me to come and serve you. I will live up to your expectations. We can together change the system and bring social justice. Let’s work together and drive away the corrupt elements that are ruling the State. They are making money by all dubious means, unmindful of your problems and sufferings. This corrupt system has to go. We can demolish this corrupt structure and build a new clean edifice” he told the cheering crowd. Mr Chiranjeevi said he had to be away from the people for four weeks because of the ban on road shows. “This has given me immense pain. Now I am again with you. I get inspiration from you. Do not forget that I am your servant. You have served me for 30 years. Now it is my duty to serve you. Give me a chance to do it,” he appealed to the people.I will solve fluoride problem Referring to the acute fluoride problem faced by the people of Nalgonda district, he said that he would solve the chronic problem when he succeeded in forming the people’s government. “Why have you not questioned the successive governments all these years? Why they have not solved this life-threatening problem?” he questioned them. The former matinee idol said “Nuvvu Sallagundale ani ee Nalgonda bhoomi nannu deevisthondi” (the land of Nalgonda is blessing me) amid cheers. Stating that solving the fluoride problem was not a big thing, he said if only the corrupt leaders had spent even ten per cent of their ill-gotten earnings, the problem would have been solved long back. He said the US President, Mr George W Bush’s home State had the fluorine problem. But they could solve it, he added. He said his party would solve the drinking water and irrigation problems if the PRP was catapulted to power. The actor-turned-politician also lashed out at the ruling Congress party and said under its rule, corruption’s tentacles spread far and wide. Now we must fight with this Octopus which has tentacles spread all over. “We must finish it and establish a clean governance” he said.
