Chiranjeevi blasted Congress in Nellore Roadshow

Sullurpet (Nellore) Jan 5 : Stepping up his attack on the ruling Congress government, Chiranjeevi said every effort is being made to scuttle his roadshows which have gained mass popularity all over the state.
Setting foot for the first time in his mother’s home district after launching his party in last August (his late father had also worked in the district excise department), the Prajarajyam Party chief said nobody could stop the people from loving him. “The power of muscle and money will be defeated by the people’s power,” he thundered amidst the loudest cheers from the large number of crowds, who have waited for over two hours at the junior college grounds to hear their matinee idol. Nearly 10,000 people attended his public meeting here. He said despite the Congress leaders trying to suppress the PRP and throwing mud on its leaders, the party would bounce back with renewed vigour. “They have even interrupted us from entering Pulivendula. Was it in Pakistan?” he asked and added that the people are with him and the party.
Taking potshots at the Congress leaders, he said: “Many of them said I was selling blood whereas the blood bank run by me has benefited lakhs of people.” Chiru defended the statements of Yuvarajyam leader and his brother Pavan Kalyan, saying they were not offensive in comparison to the comments made in the Assembly. He also addressed meetings at Venkatagiri and Naidupeta before halting for the night at Gudur
