Hyderabad Jan 7 :Traditionally, Sankranthi is the most lucrative season for movies at the box-office. Some of the biggest blockbusters of Telugu — Kalisundam Raa (Venkatesh), Narasimha Naidu (Balakrishna), Okkadu (Mahesh Babu),
Nuvvostanante Nennodantana (Siddharth) — were released during this time. Of late however, the superstars are distancing themselves from a festival release, after a series of Sankranthi damp squibs. Last year, except for Ravi Teja (Krishna) and Sumanth (Pourudu), none of the other big stars had a release. This year too, the stars seem to have boycotted the festive season. As of now, only three movies are getting released this month — Maska (Ram and Hansika Motwani), Arundhati (Anushka) and Fitting Master (Allari Naresh). All these three flicks do not star mass heroes in the lead. Siddharth- Tamannaah’s Koncham Ishtam Koncham Kashtam, Nitin, Priyamani’s Drona and Rajashekar’s Satyameva Jayate have been postponed.
